My Final Destination

To explore and discover are parts of my inner being,
And to come upon a haven such as this, my heart begins to sing

In waves of beauty and memories so true, my breath escapes my lungs
As I wish there was a way to capture the melody that was sung

With my reflection and thoughts being my only true possessions
This stream of life I’ve stumbled upon quickly elicits a confession

It’s transparent nature and ability to reveal
Are qualities I admire and someday hope to steal

The juxtaposed stillness and strength consume my every thought
And I find in its beauty my joyfulness that has been caught

Lined with life and shelter in the shade
The glistening and glimmer was surely not man made

For at this place, an intense renewal appears to occur
To anyone and any creature that encounters it’s heavy-laden lure

Not once can it be stopped, no nothing can get in its way
For with a river like this, it will not slow down until it reaches it’s bay

Come one, come all to experience the refreshing sensation
Of water so giving it shall be my final destination.
